Professional Comic Artist Looking for Work!

Greetings everyone!

Just wrapped up a monster 30 page comic (pencils, inks, and colours!) and now it's time to start looking for my next project. I am a full time artist, working in the industry for almost 3 years now. I have some published work, a ton of small press stuff, and an ongoing webcomic called the Athenian. In these last few years I have grown significantly as an artist, and strive to continue growing. I have a host of references and pleased clients, should you need them, and a varied, and impressive resume including children's books, storyboards and graphic design.

Any interested parties, feel free to email me for rates, etc. I am able to pencil, ink, colour my work, but completely okay with collaborating with others if you simply want pencilled pages, or finished linework. I am only looking for paid work, so please, no emails regarding backend/exposure deals. If a project has an established publisher behind it, my rates are more flexible.

I am very reliable, an eager collaborator and very dedicated. I live, breathe, and dream comics.

All the best,

My rates vary, based on level of detail and if you're expecting pencils, inks and/colour but generally they break down like this:

Pencils: $60
Pencils and Inks: $75
Finished, full colour art: $100

Why are you being such a Troll? The company I am referring to in this post is Red King Press and can be found here: http://www.theredkingpress.com/

If you aren't going to add to the discussion, you should just stay out of it. You just go from post to post looking for something to complain about or be a pessimist about, don't you?

Amazing. You just don't stop, do you. Thanks for making things so positive all around ZWOL. Your contribution is really surprising.

I'm going to defend Emocort here and say that he simply was asking for more information. When someone is criticizing or even simply asking a question as emocort is it is often off-putting to be offended. As far as I understand it he's just here to provide feedback. A lot of people around here could use it, so many writers just starting out for example post without giving enough information for example and he calls them out on it so they can improve. If you disagree with him don't launch insults, join the conversation with a counterpoint.

Best of luck to you though. Starting a comic company is tough and in the end it creates new jobs for comic creators. I hope sincerely that you're efforts are successful. I was involved with a comic publisher on here called Rocketblast which recently went poof. Very upsetting. I sincerely hope you guys are able to launch comics and be successful.

Sincerely,
Ruyei

Ruyei, thank you for inserting some mature outlook for both of us. The struggle to make it work can be frustrating and yes, emocort has often made his very same point in many of my posts. Whether we agree or not, he's point of view is a valid one, but he needn't keep making it (unless as your saying, he feels he's providing some kind of warning). Maybe it's in the delivery. If he was asking questions, for me to provide clarification to the potential newbies on the board, I think it would be better received, instead of being so abrasive about what I feel is still a compensation method with merit.

So, now you're stooping to name calling? Typical. The refuge of the unintelligent.
