Hi. As a child and early teenager I always loved TCG . Mainly YuGiOh which I played until the age of 16. I don't play any TCG games anymore. because I don't have any. But the point is that my interest for games sparked again a while ago after becoming exposed to a TableTopRPG manual and being taught by a friend of mine on how to play Magic.
I'm now looking for a TableTopRpg or Trading Card Game Project to be a part of as Black and White Artist (Pencils and Inks).
Im primarily looking for a Fantasy based Game (Magic, D and D , Pathfinder, YuGiOh! , Warhammer, Pokémon Table Top Games ). But any other concepts can be considered as well.
I would love to get this game out there for others to enjoy.

Yeah, looking over your portfolio there...isn't much there. There are mostly shots of people standing around scowling, I don't see too many action shots and if I were a writer looking for an artist who had some experience I would be a little skeptical about working with you. Maybe let your guard done and find an okay writer willing to do a portfolio piece with you or simply write some action comic sequences. Not to mention that a lot of people would feel uncomfortable having to find an inker for you. Letterers are relatively easy to find, but I recommend learning to do your own inks or partner up, though to be honest I've never tried to find an inker before so I may be out of my league. But like emocort is saying, beef up your portfolio and then think big! You seem to be pro level given what you have shown already, just show us some variety.
Sincerely,
Ruyei

emocort wrote:i think you need to practice more and find what your specialty is. You have made lots of different postings in the past weeks about working on different projects in different styles and your portfolio doesnt reflect what you are offering. my advice would be to practice very very hard for the next 6 months on your inking skills and offer yourself as an inker to various projects.
I understand where you are coming from. I made this post because as I mentioned above, I had recently developed an interest in doing art for Tabletop RPGs and TCG games. I've never done something like this before. I'm offering these free services so I can build my portfolio in that category.(pinups mainly).
I have actually been lucky enough to find 2 inkers for my Writer/Penciller Post. And one paid by Page rate work for my comic book black and white pages.
On the other hand with my " Penciller avaible for $5 per page" ad, I only found work for 2 penciled pages for one person.
I learnt my lesson, which is surprisingly obvious. I mean if you want to get paid for pencils you need to have pencil samples, Duh!. I assumed that the cheap rate would attract attention.
This newfound lesson led me to just seek to collaborate with my pencils on projects in order to a) get better and b) build a portfolio ( I'm happy with the response and will be closing the thread on Friday)
Since I got responses for the first collaboration I thought that maybe I'd have a chance with just what I had on deviant art for this project. But I guess I was wrong.
Im know im not good enough and that my style throws off most of the writers here. But I will keep going at it. And I thank you for a) noticing me and b) taking the time to write something that will help me. I appreciate it .
Thanks man!

Hey Ruyei .When I first posted on this site last year. I was a Writer looking for an artist under the username inkerwriterluis. I doubt you remember.
Anyways, you were the first person to open my eyes to the reality of making comics. Looking back im embarrassed by my post and its demands. Hence, the new username.
You are always on this site giving advice to new writers with the best of intentions. It was your comment on my first ever thread that made me realize that finding an artist to work for free wasn't as easy as I thought it would be.
I was bummed out of course. But this gave me the inspiration to just learn how to draw comics instead.
Im just letting you know so that you are aware that the advice that you give in this site has helped not only me but other aspiring creators.
"There are mostly shots of people standing around scowling" that was very funny to me. Because yea its true.
"I don't see too many action shots and if I were a writer looking for an artist who had some experience I would be a little skeptical about working with you"
Of course that makes sense. Great pointer. I need to be able as an artist to demonstrate the writer that I'm versatile in what I do.
I just thought that since I was offering this service for free id have luck finding collaborations without offering samples.
Thanks
