I'm going to be up front, in that I can't pay up front. However I would be open to patreons and kickstarters in the future.

That said I'm looking for a cowriter to help me reboot Linkara's Lightbringer series. Overhaul it and make it into something reasonably entertaining.

So far I have about ten issues worked out, it's just the details I usually have problems with. Scene transitions and sometimes I'm not too sure about my dialogue.

But that said I've never been amotivated writer which is why I need help. I think it will take forever if I wrote and drew it, rather than just doing the art instead which is what I want to do.

I'll help, but I'm not familiar with the lightbringer series outside from a quick synopsis I read. I'll read up on it and tell you when I'm caught up. Hopefully it's not as long as One Piece or Doctor Who.

Its not long but difficult to read.

I just thought it had some potential beneath the bad execution.

Yeah, I felt like he kind of rushes it in the beginning. Especially when he says that he could not only control light, but also emit light and control how powerful it was even though he couldn't have had much practice as a child since he was a pacifist. He could have shown us how powerful lightbringer becomes by having him better control his powers throughout the comic. I'm only in the third chapter though, so I shouldn't be so quick to judge.

So far I wrote it as Carter having some power flare ups when he's angered but otherwise he can only do parlor tricks.

He's going to need to train, but I'm letting him be completely green at the start.

Just finished reading the comic. It's a shame they stopped making it, thought it was actually good for the most part. There is still a lot potential content to be made and would be awesome to on it. My email is austinjcunningham@gmail.com

I have to figure out who's the most qualified/enthusiastic/awesome to work with.

Would've been cool if the smiling man used to kill anyone who made fun of his smile, but when he met lighbringer's parents decades ago, they taught him to just laugh insults off instead of being violent (further explains deflective abilities other than he's electric and fan do stuff like that.). Maybe he even stuck around to look after baby Carter for a bit, but eventually left. When he sees Carter changing into his non-pacifist type ways by being lightbringer, that could also cause Smiles to want to change. I don't know though, the guy left a lot out there.

I actually am leaning towards avoiding the hell out of Smiley..
