Writer looking for Artist

Hi all!

My name is Lucas and I’m a new comer to comic book writing. I’m looking to do a collaboration project or two with any artists that might be interested. I’m looking for someone to work with as a team rather than hiring an artist. Experience and a bit fun is my main motivation and if we one day make some cash out of it; I’d be totally ok with that.

I have a couple of ideas for different scripts I’m currently working on.
I’m ok with being the main ideas man, script and story writer on each or all of these but as mentioned above, it would be great to work as a team, work with some one who would like to put some input in to the storyline and where the comic will go (is it an on going adventure, do we seek crowd funding and so on). Also being new to writing comics I’m looking for someone who is understanding and I can learn from or learn together with.

The ideas:

END OF THE LINE

Supernatural/western themed.
My hope for this idea is for it to be an on going piece.

A bounty hunter is hired to help take back a town in the middle of nowhere that is on the verge of being over run and taken over. A new faction has recently come in to town to make their claim and push out the locals, who has some how managed to keep the piece for many years, despite their differences and their rather strange ways.

To provide an idea of the characters and style. The factions or type of characters are a mix of Humans, Telas (a faction made up of Telekinetics, Teleporters and Telepaths), Vampires and Sorcerers. The style and setting would be small western town in a desert, however weapons and technology is a little more advance. Similar to a Steampunk look and feel to it.

I know it may sound a little generic and done before, however, I believe some twists in the storyline along the way will bring something different and a little original.

As mentioned above I would be hoping this would be a larger project. I’d really like if it could be something that could be sent to a publisher or a kickstarter to get it all put together and printed.


EVERYDAY CRUSADERS

A collection of short pieces and interactions that take place in a call centre.

Everyday Crusaders is about a random group of token stereotypes that work in a call centre together. It shows the interactions the strange collection of staff have with one another and what they do to pass the time. From the drunken team leader to the ditzy bimbo, from your gothic chick who hates the world to gym junkie sports jock. Everyday has a character you’ll love or love to laugh at.

If you’ve ever worked in a call centre, this might just be the project for you.

I can see this project as a web comic. Each episode or piece would be around 5 to 10 pages. Depending on popularity and if it gets a following it could become an ongoing thing. I have about 10 to 15 different episodes or scenarios written up and made a start on turning some of them in to a comic script.


WITCH

Supernatural/horror
Short story

Witch is a short little comic script I’ve been working on. Cliché teenage date in the woods with a twist and a bit of a legend. Short stories where never my thing and I original wrote it as a short film script. Witch only has two characters, a male and female in their early twenties and set in the woods at night. Witch would be a stand-alone piece and not to big of a project.


If you are interested in any of the above I have a synopsis for each and also a couple of pages on each script. I’d be happy to share these with you, answer any questions you may have and discuss the possibility of working together on one.
