Team Looking for Ink Wash Shader

Hello,

The scenario: A great artist and I have a book currently in production and all we're lacking is the talent of one individual to add ink washes to our pages as to shade it and create both depth, texture, and mood with lighting. Once colors are added to this shading we'll have a truly amazing and unique looking book.

The story: A roguish Witch Hunter roams a perilous feudal Japanese countryside solving supernatural mysteries while defeating witches and demons to clear his name while his Witch Hunter family chases him down for a murder in the royal family.

Imagine a Sherlock Holmes style supernatural detective story with the blazing ninja action of manga akin to Naruto or Blade of the Immortal. It's brains meets blades! It's witches getting stitches.

If you need an example of what we're looking for I'll attach a few images to this post. We just want a master of photoshop (or if you insist you can ink wash with a brush by hand and scan them to send back to us that also works great!) who can add gray ink wash type shading to our completed pages to give it a wonderfully unique look. Simple shading and textures. Anyone from a colorist to an inker may be able to pull this off! After you finish the washes we will have both a black and white version of the comic to pitch but we're also going to color it as well so your washes will become the shading that makes the color work look ever better.

Please contact me at: creepsville @ gmail.com if interested.

So if you think you can pull this off for us and want to work with a great team that plans to pitch to multiple publishers including Image Comics and Oni Press, please contact me with examples of your work and we'll see what we can get going!

Thanks!

I work in Sumi and specialise in ink washes. However, I am swamped at the moment, so it needs to be something I believe in to make room. I'm not asking for anything up front, but either PM me, or post here since I know everyone else has the same question. What are the perks and percentages on this, what is the time scale, and how do you plan on doing the transport of the artwork? Oh, and are you providing penciled artwork, inked, or scans? So many questions.
Here's one of my old pieces done with ink wash and watercolours over it. It's after a Jim Lee piece.

Current work using ink washes in a more painterly way can be seen on my Shadow War comic. They are loose intentionally, as I'm working with a new workflow and style. I can do very detailed work with washes.

If you like what you see, let me know what the offer is. I have a personal objection to one starving artist charging another, but I would like to know what your game plan is for making this pay off in the long run.
