Looking for comic artists for startup Weekly comic, London

I'm working on a weekly paper for kids that will be distributed for free in London.

Id like to know if you would be interested in being a part of it?
We are still just making a issue 0, demo, to show schools in meetings, (no distribution, uniquely a demo pdf) once the project moves forward, starting at 10,000 copies for distributions, and hoping to grow from there, we can then pay per-page.

We can negotiate this before we start.

From a small number to begin and grow as the publishing numbers grow. Basically its a chance to be a part of something where we can all grow together as a team to a future big magazine. To create your own comic book character that would be symbolic of the magazine.

What kind of character would you like to present for our weekly?

The target is ages 8 to 13.. a good character that kids would get hooked on.. it will be distributed to schools and we're hoping it will become popular to allow us to grow with more pages and bigger amounts of publications. For now we just want to make a issue 0, a prototype issue to show to the schools and explain what we have in mind. Would you be interested in making a 1 page or 2 page story for our demo issue? Let me know your ideas. This is for a demo issue only but when the schools approve our distribution, we will pay per-page to the selected artists, being part of our team of comic book artists. The amount will depend on how much advertising we can sell on the first prints. So i imagine this will start small and grow with the magazine..I hope to hear from you soon..

Nothing manga or Marvel looking, something original. This is simplicity at its best.. Line drawings. Expressive, easy to read and memorable. We want to bring back the magic of the comic books of the 80s ..

Hello

The submission is only to see your work. Not to publish. Only when you agree with the amount would we make the strips, with the exception of the demo,a single issue in pdf, to show schools for their approval, if they accept, i will be able to start the official copies.
just how much per page, we can negotiate if the comic gets made.
Im doing a few pages myself for the demo, amongst other cartoonists i have gathered.
