Writer seeking ARTIST(S) for COLLABORATION on SHORTS

Post by Quantum »

Hey,

I'm a writer. I'm looking for a few artists who would be willing to collaborate on a number of different short comic projects. The projects range from 3 - 8 pages. The scripts are done and are ready to be drawn. Here are the project details below:

END OF THE LAW --

This story is about a Lawyer's last day of work. It is 3 pages.

SOFT SHELLED CRAB --

An absurdist tale about a crab's journey from the bottom of the sea to the dinner plate. It is 7 pages.

TITLE GOES HERE --

A writer loses his mind as he struggles with writer's block. It is 6 pages.

WIN, PLACE, SHOW --

A father and son spend the day together at the horse track. It is 5 pages.

THE DISAPPOINTMENT --

A disgraced secret agent goes back to the Academy that trained him to get revenge on the Headmistress that turned him into the killing machine that he is today -- only to be side tracked by two kids he fears are being turned into the "next version" of what he already is. It is 8 pages.

EVENINGS --

A girl comes home after school only to be confronted by her drunken mother who verbally abuses him. It is 5 pages.

LOVE IS UNDEAD --

A man travels to Ireland on the honeymoon he was supposed to go with his fiancee... who dumped him weeks before their wedding... and instead of finding a peaceful place to reflect on his failed relationship, the man finds himself right in the center of a zombie invasion. It is 8 pages.

If any of these projects interest you please e-mail me at biohazard.quantum@gmail.com

I will disclose that, as of right now, I am not in a position to pay artists for these shorts. These are shorts and I don't expect to make any money off of them.

This means that I'm looking for artists who are interested in building up their portfolios/want to step out of their comfort zones with a new genre. Or if you're an artist looking to build up their sequential art portfolio by doing a short, this is a good opportunity for you too. Essentially, I'm looking for artists who are willing to take a risk by working on one of these shorts for a little while.

The current plan for these shorts is to pitch them to relevant anthologies, when appropriate. As well, I'm hoping to collect these shorts (with the others I have in the works) online as a calling card for both myself (as a writer) and the artists to get work down the line.

If any of these projects interest you, e-mail me or PM me your e-mail and I'll send you the script and we can talk from there. DO NOT E-MAIL ME WITH RATES.

Thank you,
Quantum
