Seeking Comic Co-Writer for 2 Comics

Post by chaselanez »

*Lol okay so i am giving a warning now that this post is going to be very long. For the sake of not giving away too much info before we decide to work together some explanations will be basic but to the point*

A rundown of the primary characters:

This "story" takes place on Earth in the year 2025 I believe (I have to check my timeline) in a world where super powers did not exist prior to "The Event"
There have been superheros that were more of the Batman, Robin, Green Arrow, and Captain America types but no one with actual powers.

This specific "story" arc runs through 2 comics that are parallel to each other. One story is centered around a speedster that is considered Earth's

First Superhero, an 18-20 year old Afro-American kid named Billy. He lives in a single parent home with his sister and mother who struggles to make ends meet. He is very intelligent and interested in physics. He was also a track star at his high school, but gave up his scholarship to stay home and work to help his mom. Initially, after receiving his powers, Billy uses his powers to conduct criminal activity (mostly robbery) and uses the money to help his mother. Eventually Billy finds out he isn't the only one to gain powers after "The Event" and is employed by a government agent to seek the others out and bring them in. Billy believes he is actually helping until he finds out the agency's true intentions with those they capture.

(Female Co-writer preferably) The 2nd comic is centered in a neighboring city running parallel with the emergence of "supers". This story is focused on Violet, a young female character that has no powers but, is inspired by the good that Billy is doing/has done. She has grown up with every aspect of her life predetermined for her by her father, he wants her to go into the medical field, but at heart she is a tech prodigy (think Tony Stark, Hank Pym, and Ray Oliver, inside of Willa Holland's body or Chloe Grace Moretz's body). She aspires to be something greater in the world which leads to her crafting multiple prototype Ironman/Wasp like armors that she take out on a trial and error bases. This comic is geared to be fun and adventurous, but also very grounded. There will be cameos from Billy and crossovers between the two respective comics. Her father despises her love for tech and also dislikes the choice of friends that she hangs around. Her father tries to alter her perception of the supers explaining that no one should possess that kind of power and that its only a matter of time before they "snap". Unbeknownst to Violet, her father is a super with the ability to drain power from other supers be depleting their life force. He is on a mission to become a god on Earth. This leads to an eventual emotional showdown between he and his daughter.

Is this a mini-series, ongoing series, graphic novel, etc:

Both projects would be ongoing series running parallel to each other.

In this new universe, what's it like?

Its set on Earth, about 10 years in the future. I assume there would be technological advancements but not too much will have changed. Violet's story has more of a neon punk rocker vibe to it, Billy's story is pretty straight forward and modern.

Why are superpowers popping up:

Powers begin popping up sporadically and slowly after the catastrophic malfunction of the worlds first working fusion reactor. The radiation kills many and alters some. Waters become contaminated and the radiation in time spreads. This leads to supers slowly immerging and the formation of a government agency who's job is to catch these individuals.

I hope I answered any questions you may have, if not, please shoot them over and i will jump right on it
