Im looking for two projects to do art .
1) penciller and inker . and id like to add grey wash instead of colors if possible.
2)And just penciller for the other.
Its a weird proposition but im trying to experiment with 2 different styles that i have. The first one is a quick and sloppy inking style. and the second is a very tight and clean style.
Both of these take the same time.
My first style has very loose pencils and most of the drawing and rendering is done in the inking. Alot of improvisation.
In the second style i have tight pencils . Though not the same drawing style, Im going for a clean look like Olivier Coipel's or jim cheung's art.
Cons:
Ive drawn comic book pages before but ive never been published.
I want to draw in paper smaller than 11*17( the standard size) , and im not sure how this will affect our chances of getting published.
For the penciling and inking i would be working in a normal sized paper , and for the penciling i would probably use the kablam small paper which is exactly the same size as printed in a comic. Essentially, i would be drawing straight into the comic ( unlike the 11*17 where when the comic gets printed everything is reduced)
Im doing this becasue : I want to get better, experiment with both styles, andtime ( it takes much more to draw on a 11*17 )
What i wish to accomplish:
Id like to pitch our work to star up indies like Insane comics, or others that fit the same category.
Or we can always self publish and start our own indie label which i would like
or do an indiegogo.
Story im looking for:
Any genre as long as it has a noir , horror, adult/mature , or gore element to it. lt doesnt need all three elements to it. just one or two.
The script can be finished or we could start form scratch ( i would love to be a co creator)
What id especially like to draw:
crazy ass gross monsters, violent gory scenes,
What im currently reading that i actually really fuking like:
The Steam Man ( Dark Horse)
Martian Man Hunter ( only superhero book that im really loving tahnks to its horror elements. I love how barrows draws those aliens)
Goddamned
Invisible Republic
Lock and Keye
Deadly Class
NailBiter
Darth Vader
I have a scanner.
Im in teh process of updating my portfolio so im attaching the pictures of the current things.
These will be updated and i was going to wait to finish them first but ive attempted to collab before and i know that the process of picking a writer is not an easy one so i might as well begin looking now. I should have my updated portfolio within a week from now.
But in the meantime i will be attaching pictures of what i have not scanned or am finishing up.
Thanks,
Luis
