Writer Seeking Artists for 3 to 7 page shorts (Non-Paid)

Hey,

My name is Malcolm. I'm a Comics Writer based out of Vancouver, BC, Canada. I've had some success in working with artists on several shorts which I've been pitching to anthologies... and I'm looking to work with some more artists on some more shorts to pitch around. I recently had a short that I collaborated with on an artist that I met on these boards get picked up by a reputable publisher for an anthology to be released at the end of this year. So I do hustle to get my shorts out there for people to read.

Currently, I've got several short scripts that are in need of artists. I write in a variety of genres. Some of my shorts that need artists are as follows:

Hunter/Follower -- This is the story of a conservation officer and a poacher who must team up to survive an even greater threat in the woods. Survival thriller. 7 page short.

Rowing -- A ghost story with aboriginal undertones. This is the story of a man confronting his past as he sets out to discover who he really is one fateful night in the woods. Horror. 7 page short.

Title Goes Here -- A writer suffers a meltdown as he undergoes writers block. A twisted dark comedy. 6 page short.

Win/Place/Show - A father and son enjoy a day at the race track but not all is what it seems underneath the surface on this seemingly happy day. 5 page short.

Evenings -- A popular school girl must confront the nightmare that she has to endure at home with an abusive mother... but finds an unlikely ally in her search for peace. An anti-bullying story. Educational. 6 page short.

If any of these shorts interest you, in terms of drawing, please feel free to contact me. I am also up for writing you a short if your art style doesn't jive with any of these stories. I'm always trying to write new stories and be collaborative.

That said -- and this is important -- I'm not in a position to pay for any work on these shorts. If I could, I would. So this would be a pro bono collaboration. Nobody will be getting paid for these shorts unless, at the end of the process, we get published and get a cut. Everybody associated with any short I do will get the credit they are do. These are collaborations.

Like I said, I will hustle to get these shorts out to the masses. Once penciled/inked, I'll seek out a colorist and a letterer to collaborate on these shorts to get them ready to be sent to anthologies.

This could be a good opportunity for somebody who wants to expand there portfolio.

That said -- if you're just a penciler who is interested, I do have some inker connections and can find an inker to work with us on any of the shorts you chose. So don't be afraid to send an e-mail if you're just a penciler -- I'm fine with recruiting an inker.
