Basically, I want to do a comic about mice. I mean, really really want to, but I can't draw for scratch. I assume if you're interested you're familiar with the genre, but just in case... Similar published works include Bryan Glass's <a href="http://hiddenrobot.com/MICETEMPLAR/">Mice Templar</a> and David Petersen's <a href="http://www.mouseguard.net/">Mouse Guard</a>.
As it stands, I'm just looking for an artist with similar interests. I can't pay anything at this point in my life. I am willing to do this either as a free webcomic or as a work that would be published professionally. If it is a successful webcomic, I would like to be able to put it into print at some point. Obviously in either case, we can negotiate a contract to settle the financial aspect. I'm very easygoing like that.

Any style and any skill level is fine as long as you're willing to commit to it.
I do my scripting based on the samples that Neil Gaiman provided in a volume of Sandman. I can adjust this if necessary.
Here's the breakdown of the comic:

Project Genre: Fantasy/Steampunk/Mice
Style: Any
Synopsis: The advent of the steam engine, developed by the most brilliant minds of mousekind, has begun to spread throughout the world and has sparked an industrial revolution. Communities are now closer and safer than they've ever been, thanks to progress in architecture, medicine, and the creation of a region-wide subway system.
But the power of this technology has not gone ignored by some of the most powerful mice. They have created an empire which seeks to wield its influence not only over its own kind, but to all the other creatures of the woodland, including the extermination of all their predators, and any who would stand in their way.
Clover, a young archivist, is swept away in the waves of progress and civilization. His knowledge of woodland languages and cultures make him very useful to any that would control him. As he rises in the ranks, he finds himself caught between those who share the empire's vision and those who seek to bring it to justice-- even if it means cooperating with their fiercest enemies. Revolution is erupting, and Clover and his companions are at the eye of the storm. They must decide to which side they belong, and their choices may very well decide the course of history.

So that more or less covers it! If you're still interested, contact me via email, PM, or just replying here on the thread. Please provide a sample of your work.
In exchange, a few sample pages of the script are available on request.
