Artist Looking For Work and Comic Group

Hiya,

My name is Amy. I'm a comic artist looking for work, as the title of this topic so aptly claims. I've got a few years of classical art training under my belt, though I specialize in a more cartoony style, with a messy edge. My style is heavily influenced by a mix of American and Japanese comic art. I'm skilled at drawing both humans and anthropomorphic characters. Lately I've been doing a lot of character art, and requests.

I'm in search of two things at the moment. The first would be some kind of employment, with me working my sorcerous scribbles for someone. I have plenty of experience with concept art, character designs, sequential art, and even scandalous drawings of ill repute. Long term projects are preferred, and how much I'm payed or compensated will be considered on the case by case bases.

The other thing that I would be most pleased to find is some awesome people to do a webcomic with. I have a leaning towards comedy, both of the light and dark variety. What I would do in a comic group would very largely on the other members, since I can draw, write, and color. My hope and dream is that in a group I'd be able to produce comics more quickly and of higher quality then I could on my own. Ideally rights, profits, and what not would be split evenly between all those involved.

Hi Amy,

My name is Elena and I am a budding comic writer (by night, and a humble teacher by day.) I have a degree in Sanskrit and I am interested in creating a comic that takes stories from Sanskrit literature and brings them into the modern day / sci-fi. Although I cannot pay, I am interested in working towards this project or any other that is significant. Any interest?

I'm looking to do some writing for comic books and I've written the first two issues of a six-issue thing I've got planned out. Besides that I would be quite interested in doing some stuff online. Just let me know if you ever come back and look at this post again.
