Greetings,
I have a crazy idea, I will obviously need help on it.
I'm looking for artists and writers to help out on this.
Okay, this is a 2 part proposal. (Hope it makes sense).
Concept:
I want to create a new comic book world with it's own continuity
(it's own heroes, villains, etc.) created by various authors.
Kinda like how old Golden/Silver Age books had their own cities,
well, i'd like to do something like that, only have the various places
in this "new world" link up.
Format-wise: I like to make it as a webcomic anthology.
I have a background in web design, so I'd like to try and push
the boundaries of what digital comics can do.
(A great example of what I'd like to accomplish would be this>>
http://comic.naver.com/webtoon/detail.n ... eekday=tue)
I am primarily a writer, although I do have experience in graphic design. My drawing skills are not that great, but I'd still try to contribute a story or two.
For funding, since this is web-based, there obviously is a shoe-string budget. I'd like to get creators to come together, make a world together, and once "we" (the collective creators) get a few stories in the can, we can release these stories either on the web, or as an app (to ensure funding).
Now, this obviously is a kooky idea, and I may or may not get any takers on this, but I think it'll be a fun way to get different comic book creators together to form our own universe and make some great comics that redefine comics in this new digital age.
Want to help create a world?

Hey. Writer here.
I already started making my own super-hero themed (if that's what you meant) comic book world, and it has over a hundred heroes and villains, with their own super teams, their own history, and at least one fairly detailed city.
It is part of a larger project of mine, which consists on releasing online 5 different series, all under my name (the other 4 use different settings, so they're of no interest to us right now).
I already secured the domains, but I'm missing a web designer, so go figure.
I wouldn't mind mixing this one with the work of other writers' and artists' to form a "gestalt" shared universe, where each of us can put their own creation.
If I understood it right, and it is a Marvel / DC / Image type universe, I think mixing very different resources and very different ideas (from very different authors) can actually work, because such a universe is a Fantasy Kitchen Sink (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/M ... itchenSink) by definition.
(I know what I'm about to say just sound annoyingly nasty, but I have to say it.)
However, I would need some kind of reasurrance, as much as it is possible, that the rights would fall where they belong and even though the universe is shared, the single characters inside the universe are credited to their respective authors.
In fact, I'm about to trademark my most important characters, and I am not excluding the possibility, after my stories have been put on the web, to try and print them.
Do you want to share, either here or privately, any ideas or general guidelines? I'd like to understand more of how you imagine this universe to be.

I might have some interest in this, especially if you go the app route. I don't mind writing fun stuff for not much remuneration, but I'd like to get something
.
PM me your email and I can send you a sample script, although it might take a couple of days as I'm improving my standard sample right now to take into account some stuff I've learned since I wrote it.
I always have characters knocking around in my head with nowhere to go, so I'm sure I could offer something to this.

I'm up or a piece of that.
I probably wouldn't be contributing much in terms of complete stories (already have enough stories on the go to tax my creativity) but I am pretty good at broad-concept, so I could probably be useful creating the "big picture" of the world, as well as reconciling individual views and stories for internal consistency.
What type of setting/ground rules are we looking at for this world?
