Artist wanted for an 8 pager (pencils, inks, and tones)

Post by chasexclamationpoint »

Hello interwebs! Long time lurker, first time poster. I’ve got a project for everyone’s consideration.

What the story’s about: Bigfoot and relationship woes.
Your role: 8 pages of your glorious pencils, inks, and tones.
My role: Writer/letterer.
Deadline: 3-28-2014. I know, I know—that’s really pushing things. However, one of my goals for the project is for it to get accepted into Alterna’s 2014 Sci-Fi Anthology.
Payment: $250 will be sent through Paypal upon project completion.

About myself: As of October 4th, 2013, I received my Creative Writing Masters MFA with a focus on comic writing from Full Sail University. I was also dubbed valedictorian, got the “Advanced Achievement Award” (the highest accolade the school offers), my thesis script—a graphic novel—got a perfect score, and I have received more “Course Director Awards” than anyone who went through the program. Currently, I’m the editor for a high-profile graphic novel that was funded through Kickstater and have written two other one-shots for a couple of artists.

Other notes:
- Although the short’s humorous, I’m open to look at any art style. That said, if you’re Rob Guillory, you’re automatically hired and I’ll name my first child after you.
- While, yes, although I’m essentially hiring you as a freelance contractor to make some pretty pages, that’s not the type of relationship I’m looking for. I want a collaborator! The “process” is one of the best parts about this medium; open discussion to enhance the story—be it through words or pictures—is absolutely essential. Let’s make something great. No egos here—just the best product we can both possibly deliver =)

I’ll pick an artist this weekend and we’ll get the ball rolling on Monday!
