Are you an artist? Do you have a great idea for the next big comic book? Does putting words into a clear and concise fashion that best expresses your intentions as a storyteller fill your heart with dread and your stomach with queasy gurgling noises? Well, today's your lucky day. For a limited(not really) time only I'll write your story for you. All for the low, low price of back end percentage(or whatever... I'd probably do it for one of those king sized cookies and cream bars, or a Dave & Busters gift card).
In all seriousness, I'm looking to network with artists, gain some practical experience, and maybe, just maybe, make a name for myself. I can write any genre, though I prefer something with at least a semblance of a sense of humor. I'll write any format: short story, one-shot, limited series, ongoing series, graphic novel, comic strips, picture books, post cards, pamphlets, letters to the editor, letters to your grandma, etc.
I won't write just anything. I have to believe in your story's potential and your abilities as an artist. The more time I have to invest (i.e. graphical novel) the more I have to believe in you. If I don't like your work, I won't work with you. If you don't like what I write, fire me. Easy-peasy. I hope that doesn't sound rude, but we're all here for the same reason; to make it to the big show.
You can email me at dickentravis@gmail.com or post a reply on here.
Thank you,
Travis Dicken

Good post
Very good representation of yourself. You basically just gave an introduction but you showed a sense of humor and charisma in your writing, especially good since you claim you're good with humor. One point, link us a writing sample, preferably a script sample.
Another thing I would advise you on is to be open for an amateur artist. This is your first time and I'm assume you have little to know experience. It might be good to go with an amateur with the beginnings of style and go from there. Just a suggestion, just know that even with a great post you're going to have a limited pool of artists to choose from. Also make this post available on digitalwebbing, I get most of my artists from there. Google "Writer looking for artist" or vice versa on google and look for artists that way as well. Other than that you are on the right track and I wish you the best.
Sincerely,
Ruyei
