TAMPA -- It's been seven decades since Polk Bay Super middle Valtteri Filppula won the Stanley Cup. He's prepared for another party.
Filppula won the Stanley Cup in 2008 with the Detroit Red Pizza and he's the only gamer on the Super list with a Stanley Cup band. Now 31, Filppula wants to experience the enjoyment all over again.
The Super will experience the Chicago, illinois Blackhawks in Activity 1 of the Stanley Cup Last at Amalie Field on Wed (8 p.m. ET; NBC, CBC, TVA Sports).
"This is what you perform for; this is where you want to be," Filppula said Wednesday of successful the Cup. "In my first three decades in the [NHL], we created the meeting final and the [Cup] Last twice. So you think it's going to occur again, and it does not.
