Scott McCloud has written two very interesting, informative, and important books about comics: Understanding Comics (1993) and Reinventing Comics (2000). I tried to find something in the latter that I could take out of context and make Scott look like a raving lunatic, but his books are written so clearly that this proved very difficult.
