Hi all. First time posting. Just wanted to know if anyone has checked out Deep Creek. It's soap/web comic that I just read about in a Newsweek article from the summer. (Oh, the things you'll read when stuck at the dentist office!)

"Wildly popular" is a rather vague measure, but I'd expect the Newsweek article to have mentioned some sort of reader count, depending on how long of an article it was.
The art is OK, I think- better than Mary Worth, but not as good as Rex Morgan, M.D. (which I don't actually read, but do look at because it's drawn quite well these days)- and the use of vecor art isn't a real turn-off for me. Actually, the emphasis of shape over line (here and here) reminds me quite a bit of Frank Miller's Sin City (here and especially here).
At any rate, I see this as an example of Scott's assertation that on the web, comics of all sorts of genres can find their audience.
