hello again, ZWOL patrons! matt northrup here, looking for some extra projects.
before i get down to the nitty gritty, let me just again thank both this site and all its viewers for allowing me the opportunity to get into the comic business. because of these forums, i was able to get my first contacts in the community and establish a decent interest in my work. i now do the concept and penciling work for an independent comic out of australia and have a growing fan base, with offers coming in every week. without ZWOL, i wouldnt have that stepping stone without a formal education, which i lack. i will never be too appreciative. thank you and much love.
anyway, back to the task at hand: as stated, im currently working on an australian title, AEvol, with writer shane bell of sandgroper industries. im adding THIS particular topic to pick up some side work, preferably inking and/or coloring. to see my current work ('current' i use loosely: ive been busy so i havent updated to much) check out http://www.northrup.deviantart.com. i do have my business site, http://www.kittkill.com, but its been compromised so im currently trying to rectify that.
im looking into inking and coloring for a simple reason: i dont often work with other artists, and its high time i start. we all know that in the comic industry, its teamwork that gets the story told; i, however...well...ive been a bit greedy, to say the least. i dont like people messing with my work, and its really put a strain on my wrist. so im looking to help someone by trying my hand at painting their art. im an excellent inker (pant myself on the back, as we artists do) and am a self taught photoshop/painter expert. ive studied for years on both programs and have developed a keen understanding of their inner workings. also, ive done a stint as a photo retoucher for lifetouch, so my speed is honed.
please be aware, im looking for PAYING work. im currently employed, and as such their demands will ALWAYS come before any non paying projects. thats how the bills get paid. im all for submission work and hobbyists, but this is my full time job, and i cant afford to offer my services without compensation. im sorry, thats just the way it is, and i hope i dont offend anyone, as its not my intention.
