Writer seeking Artist

Post by Kagaenod »

I am an writer looking to work with an artist. I have several finished drafts of scripts, and although I would prefer to work on one of them, I am willing to try anything and if you have an idea you would like me to flesh out I am willing to work on it. This extends to co-writing and even editing.

You can see my works "My Headache" "It's All Good News Now" "Iraqi Lover" and "Respect for Jojo" at www.artificialcomix.com however, this is not the limit of my talents. Although the comics I have written for this site are dark and gritty, I am willing to expand my focus and try light-hearted stories as well as fantasy versus the realistic style comics I have written in the past. Here are examples of a few of my scripts.

My Fair Angel- Eden, a young high-school girl, is shot in the head by a disgruntled supervisor when she exclaims in victory upon completing her SAT test. She is then sent to the afterlife, where she finds all is not as it seems, in that rather than entering heaven right away, she has to work for it. She then begins her life as a guardian angel, protecting a young boy against the perils of bullies, love, and the mysterious forces of everyday chaos.
(This script, unlike my other works, has some elements of humor, particularly dark comedy. and has a strong focus on afterlife theory.)

Into the Dark- The world as we know it is falling apart, although nobody knows it yet. Two worlds are merging. our world of order, and another world of chaos and devastatingly powerful beasts. A young man is thrust into the middle of this when, over a course of events, he befriends an infant of these exotic creatures, and consequently becomes half-beast himself. Walking the line between both worlds, he must decide for himself who is right and who is wrong, and most importantly, on whose side he will fight.
(As much as I'm not a big fan of modern day superheroes, this script is the closest I've gotten to that ideal. Morality is the focus of this script, as the protagonist will discover that once his world is taken apart piece by piece, that there IS no good or evil.)

Snowflake- A young girl, a runaway, riding down the highway on her motorcycle, comes across an abandoned farm house where she decides to stay for the night. Inside she finds a mysteriously hooded figure, who introduces her to a young man with a hidden past. Together they embark on a journey in which both will learn to know each other, and themselves.
(Perhaps the least developed of my scripts. At this point the "Adventure" is unknown, and could be a trip to multiple worlds or a trip to a singular, dark reflection of Earth. This is more of a dark romance, since the two characters are connected by bonds that both of them hardly understand.)

(Untitled work)- Another story about the afterlife, except this time, everyone is reincarnated in another world as an animal reflecting each person's personality. Civilizations are formed, rivalries develop, and creatures of many shapes and sizes, advantages and disadvantages, have to learn to work together to survive in a world where one's courage is his or her greatest asset. The prime story line revolves around a young fox cub who, along with his porcupine Uncle, search for his lost mother and explore this new land, it's customs, and its lore.
(Probably the MOST developed of my scripts despite the lack of title, I have notes and scripts, and character profiles up the wazoo. The theme if you haven't guessed it already is courage and strength of heart, especially determination.)

If anyone wants to work with me on any of my scripts, please contact me at robert-finch@comcast.net
