Hi everyone
I am a published fiction-writer, of psychological/horror/stories with massive twists at the end. I'm developing a script that requires the visual medium, however, and would love to develop the entire story with a collaborator, i.e.: not a slave a with a paintbrush.
I'm looking for someone inspired by Dave McKean, Menton3, and similar artists. So I want it realistic, even at times photorealistic, with art that obviously enhances the characters' reactions to the scene.
The story itself is told from three or four different character's perspectives but each character requires a unique visual viewpoint (for example, the blind character sees her friend as sometimes elongated, sometimes with half-a-mask on her face in the shape of a swan, etc.)
This is a novel unto itself and is my first venture into this, though I've told similar stories before in literary publications. It's entirely character-driven, but it surrounds a series of murders in a small town, political conflict, fighting traditions, and so on. It hints at fantastical elements but they aren't as important as how the town itself works (not Silent Hill but the town as in all the people in it. And by the way, Scott Ciencin must die).
I'm sorry to be cryptic, but I will reveal all if you are interested.
I'm only a student, so I cannot pay let alone even guarantee publication. I'm hoping the artist will appreciate telling a story, help me become a better writer and enjoy the journey. That's all code for saying "I'm a poor student. Please help me not kill myself with my pencil but instead use it to write scripts."
Thanks for reading and I look forward to hearing back and seeing some samples.
