Driven Writer seeks Artist who wants to make it big (PAID)

Okay, posting again for like the 5th time. I need an artist. I keep finding people that are interested and talented, but most don't have the follow through and drive to actually commit to a project...then I just thought I found the perfect guy for the project but unfortunately his day job just increased his work load and now he doesn't have the time.

SOOOOOooo...

I NEED AN ARTIST! Here's the deal...

You: Hard working and talented artist, creative, fun, good sense of humor, strong desire to be a part of a very original and innovative comic that is sure to become (at the very least) a cult hit!

Me: 30 year old, film school graduate who fell in love with the comic form of expression a few years ago and realized it is the perfect format for telling my dream story that Hollywood wouldn't touch in a million years and would cost millions of dollars to produce if made into a film or tv series.

THE STORY: It's called THE FABULOUS F&*KIN' ADVENTURES OF PIE-U and NINJACKOFF!! (in a nutshell) Some slacker dudes wind up getting some really random superpowers...one gets the ability to make pies appear out of thin air, (yes, thats right, pies... like, "ooh I am hungry, I could go for a a pie" POOF! A pie appears in front of you s***...except he can do it over long distances) the other learns he can teleport but only when he has a boner (Boi-oi-oi-oing!.). They learn to hone their powers to the point where they become very powerful heroes and along the way they discover that the world they live in is full of things that are not what they appear to be at all....So they decide it is up to them to wake everyone up to this reality, but of course they are going to be met with lots of opposition along the way.

If I had to describe it I would say it is like taking South Park and Robert Kirkman's Invincible and rolling them up together to form some really funny but adventurous and action packed nonsense that is anything but nonsensical. Ultimately, in the end, this story will make everyone who thinks the premise sounds absolutely ridiculous say "Woah, in a weird way, it's actually very realistic and believable!" But the first issue will be more of a "Throw your a** in the deep end and learn to swim" type of thing. The real payout for reading the first issue won't happen until much later when you know everything that lead up to that point (of course, the first issue will still also be very entertaining and gripping in it's own right from the start too though)

Eventually I would like to tell the ENTIRE TALE...which is so incredibly epic in scope that I am not even going to try to describe it here. This series could ultimately go on for years and years, but right now, I just want to get the first issue made and go from there. I already have the first issue written, and drawn out and I have the second issue already half way drawn out. Of course it is just my rough draft that is drawn out, and I am not an artist by any means and I intentionally cut corners to save myself the trouble of drawing all the panels, but the bulk of the story is there for you to enjoy...

But it will give you the idea! Also, if you are interested in the premise, do yourself the favor and make sure you read past the first 5 pages since that is when the story really starts and my art also improves a lot as well so it makes it easier to read. (If I select you as an artist I will forward over all the pages of the second issue too so you can get a better idea of where this is going)

I am looking for an artist who can THINK BIG. You are going to have to have some serious guts to take on this story. But know this...you're gamble today will pay off in the end. I can guarantee you that. See I already know where this whole story is going and where it's been. All questions will be answered (like how did they get their powers? What do these guys know about the world and those running it that they are trying to save people from? Why does he have to have a boner to teleport? Etc) by the time the series wraps up. Everything will make total narrative sense, and everything that seems retarded and nonsensical right away will end up seeming even more hilarious because it will end up seeming logical and reasonable (well, almost everything anyway). This is going to be a series that people will want to re-read again and again as each issue comes out because it starts out in the middle of the story and works backwards into the past to show the characters growth, while simultaneously moving the plot forward at the same time. It is my intention to make this a story that will reward the reader with a new perspective on the characters and the plot with each issue and will change the whole reading experience for each issue upon reading future issues.

Know this...This is the story I was born to tell. In the end, I know people will really love it. It will garner the attention of the comic community both inside and outside of the professional arena and more than a few people who read this post and thought about working on this project but decided to pass on it will end up kicking themselves in the butt for their inability anticipate the grandeur of such a seemingly stupid concept. Mark my words! Mark them I say! This is going to be a story that will be fresh and innovative while playing upon genre conventions so it will still feeling familiar and fun!

Some people don't have what it takes to succeed at what they do, but that won't be the case for me because I refuse to quit until I get this entire story out their for the world to enjoy. I just need a bad-ass artist who has the guts to take a chance on putting in a lot of hard work for no upfront pay (well technically, I could swing like a 100-200 bucks or something, and then we can split profits 50/50 from their).

Anyway, sorry for the rambling. I just wanted to include enough to scare off those who aren't prepared for the task. I am very easy to work with, and will always listen to suggestions and input. No need to worry about me barking down your throat or anything like that. I just want to find someone who wants to be a part of something very special and knows that they are talented, and they are creative and driven enough to actually pull it off! Ideally would love an ongoing partnership, but we can do things one issue at a time too. That works for me!
