Hello everyone! I am in need of a talented artist for a new project I am starting.
I am a 30 year film school graduate who has changed his writing ambitions over to the field of comics. I am in need an artist for one of the two new project I am starting!
I am seeking a driven and talented artist who wants to work with a writer who has a unique and creative voice who is ambitious to get these stories out there for others to enjoy.
The first story is a tale of an ordinary guy who is completely down-on-his-luck and decides then and there that he is going to devote his life to becoming a real wizard! Of course, he currently has no magical talents or any inclination of how to get them, but he's determined anyway to become a wizard...or failing that, at least someone who everyone else will think is a real wizard.
This story could be a short 3 story issue type of thing, or it could be a much longer one...depends on who I get for an artist really. It will have a lot of philosophy and humor in it and will be probably be a more quirky off beat type of story.
So that's the one story, here is the other...
This is a story of the adventures of a modern day urban monk warrior who roams the country helping those he comes across...except this story is set during the zombie apolocalypse! Where did this monk come from? How does he manage to remain so calm during such chaotic times? How will such a peaceful man handle himself in face of the world filled with violence from both the living and the dead? These questions and more will be tackled in "The Adventures of That Monk Guy Who Like Goes Around Doing Stuff!" (Okay, so I haven't thought of a title yet, so what!)
This story could be on going for years! It will start off centered around all issues that are one shot stories that set the tone for the type of story. Think of it like a mix of Yojimbo and the Walking Dead mixed in with more philosophy.
It's a very action packed story at times filled with zombie ass kicking and people struggling for survival, but also will feature many peaceful moments that reflect the beauty the monk feels inside.
This story needs an artist who can A.) draw both people and zombies, but also B.) draw scenic and beautiful outdoor locations of natural beauty.
Showing the beauty of the enviroment at times is very crucial to the heart of the story so please enjoy drawing them!
This story will also feature a refinement of the "rules" of zombie behavior and will eventually get into a much larger storyline involving the origin of the outbreak that I think is a pretty clever take on a overplayed concept.
Anyway, I am seeking someone who wants to make comics professionally and is committed to their work. We can take things on an issue to issue basis and assuming it goes well I'd be very open to a partnership. As a writer I am always open to suggestions and ideas and ways of allowing you creative freedom wherever possible.
Laid back but driven people prefered. Please serious inquiries only.
Thanks a lot! Also, I am still looking for an artist for my absurd super hero story that features bad ass superheros with the dumbest powers imaginable (inquire within if curious/interested in knowing more on it).
Please contact me if interested. Have a great one everyone!

I am just assuming to be splitting back end profits 50/50. But a little incentive and guaranteed pay does help make it more inviting I suppose, so sure, yea let's go ahead and say 10 bucks a page as well. I might be able to go even higher than that, but I am moving across the country so it all depends on when the artist might need payment or whatever. Any interested artist who does want guarantee pay should message me to discuss it. I definitely intend to make this venture a much more profitable one than any amount I could pay upfront for the both me and and the artist Thanks for bringing that up though! Great question.
