Writers Submissions

Post by VicWright »

Hi Guys,

Geeky Comics are looking for original scripts from writers creating stories within three genres - war, crime and horror. If you are interested in getting your work published, by an up and coming independent publisher then now is your chance. All submissions are to be sent electronically as a PDF file, complete with character profiles and any supporting materials.

Please check out our website for submission guidelines - www.geekykid.co.uk

Note we are only interested in full scripts, not ideas, concepts or works based around our own characters.

Hi Clusy,

We accept both, but usually we want to decide who is going to pencil the works, at this point we are looking for just scripts.

At present, just serials - 4 part mini series (typically) and if selling well, could become a regular series and/or a graphic novel.

What is the deadline???

I have a longer graphic novel script that I could split up and make it into a 4 part serial...

Clusy, there is no deadline; we keep looking until we find what we want. That could be in the first script we read or after 100's - who knows. We are releasing 8 new titles this year, 6 have already been allocated, so we have room for two more.

If you want to find out more about our titles and the sort of thing we look for check out our website www.geekykid.co.uk and our FB pages - www.facebook.com/geekycomics

Hope this helps.

Are you open to projects that already have an artist attached?

Yes of course - but it will depend on style.

Will this offer happen again next year? I am just now collecting ideas for the script I am going to write.

It's hard to say, we could end up wanting more or less next year. It will depend on sales, creative teams and many other factors.

horror script available

Hi folks,

I went to the link for your site, but I couldn't get it to work. If you're still looking for short horror stories, I just finished a very good 8-page Dracula story with a novel twist.
