Published Writer Seeking Artist for Comic!

Hello all!

My name is Jojo King and I am once again looking for an artist from this helpful site! I cannot believe how many talented and amazing artists are on here. It seems every time I come up with a script, I'm always contacted by a wonderful artist who gets what the comic is about and does a great job with it.

There is also a third position where I’m seeking a colorist for “The Forest”, a 24 paged comic already in the process of being drawn. 5 pages have been completed (drawn and colored) so that only leaves 19 pages left to be colored.

Below here I will list my credits and what I can offer you in a collaboration. Below that I will list a synopsis for the comic. I thank you all for your time!

CREDITS:
I’ve written in a few different mediums. I started out writing for magazines such as “Heavenly Muse”, “DeatHeadGrin” and also “BloodMoonRising”. I’ve written lyrics professionally as well, including R&B artist Fred Malone.
On the comics side of things I have a story appearing in Vivifica Studios’ upcoming anthology “The Midnight Candle” and also four different miniseries coming out this Summer and Fall.

WHAT I CAN OFFER YOU
I’m easy to work with and I’m not looking for someone to boss around, but for a partner. I respond to emails quickly and I’m dedicated to this project so you will not have to worry about me dropping out half-way through. I have a few contacts regarding publishers and while I cannot promise anything, there is a great chance of this getting published. Even if that means doing it ourselves. All royalties or money made off this will be split 40-60. 60 of course going to the artist because I realize the drawing side of things can be time consuming more so than the scripting side.

I will also send along the scripts for you to read. Also, if there are any artists out there with a story but they would like a writer, I would be willing to listen to your story idea and possibly start a collaboration. I'm very open minded.

Title: Zeroes

Zeroes is a darkly humorous portrayal of super heroes and their overgrowing popularity in media. In a nameless city, heroes are treated as movie stars or gods. Heroes and villains duke it out with “safety rules” to ensure no one actually gets hurt. Think back to the Marvel comics of the 50s, 60s, 70s and you’ll know what I mean. Our main character is a teen named Greg who is sick of all the attention heroes get. He decides to mask himself as a harmless villain and go on a low end crime spree. This “crime spree” is basically just graffiti. One night, Greg is mistaken for a hero and unintentionally stops a mugging. A famous hero sees this and enlists Greg to be his sidekick. After being tantalized with the perks of being a hero, Greg pulls a 180 on his views and accepts the hero’s invitation. All seems well until we see a new villain is on the rise. This villain, called “Maniac” is not like the others. He’s a murderer and psychopath and will not play by the “rules”. Maniac terrorizes the city and his murderous ways shock both the heroes of the city and the villains, causing the two to put their rivalry aside.

The Maniac continues to murder heroes and villains and it seems he cannot be stopped. All of the supposed “gods” are at a lost of what to do and decide to call it quits and leave town. Greg goes back home after deciding to call it quits as well and sees that Maniac has murdered everyone on his block, including his parents. This brings out a hatred in Greg and causes him to throw out the rules and play the “game” Maniac’s way.

This will be a miniseries I would hope gets turned into an ongoing series if reception is good. Many different characters will be fleshed out and will be a lot of fun introducing whacky heroes and villains.
