Comic Artist's Needed- Paid Work

I am a writer starting up a comic book company seeking passionate artists looking to break into the industry. I've written many works that I plan to submit to comic agencies such as Image, Dark horse, etc. The art must be able to capture the intensity, emotion and vividness of the world.

Now, I refuse to write 2D, cookie-cutter characters, especially coupled with in-the-box plot lines, so I assure you my work is nothing like that. Don't just take my word for it. Feel free to ask for samples of my writing as I will certainly ask for samples of your artwork.

I am not just seeking artists, but a team members. I need people who are as dedicated and passionate about the progression of the story as I am. With that, we will succeed because our project will be as addictive as crack.

Now I do have 5 people on the team so there's already some progress coming along but I'm still in need of more, this is also paid work of 25cents a page but of course over time it would go up when we turn a profit.

The reason the 10 artists responded is because you had the phrase 'paid work' in the subject heading.

25 cents is a complete joke. I'd advise just not paying, because I remember a guy getting a ton of hate for paying $1 per page on a Digital Weebing forum, as far as i can recall. Seriously, I think there were over thirty comments on that thread. The problem is that it looks like you're treating this as an incentive, which I dearly hope you aren't. Twenty five cents is nothing. It sounds much better to have it as non paying for the time being, trust me.

Also, do you really have to be such an ass to people who took the time to reply to you? Granted, it was quite a short reply and maybe the tone could have been a bit nicer, but was the barrage of overused insults necessary? Do you think people with respect you more for that?

I would rather that you do not reply with your failed attempt at insults, and would favor no reply at all. After all, I took the time to comment, I hardly think I deserve to be treated like dirt.
