New Comic series needs versatile & creative letterer!

Hi there!

My name is Brett. I am the writer of a new superhero (or in this case, stupid hero) comic series called "The Fabulous F#$*'n Adventures of Pie-U and Ninjackoff!!"

It's about two stoner/slacker type guys who gain ridiculous (but powerful) super powers...one gains the ability to make and project pies out of thin air and the other one gains the power to teleport except only when he's turned on.

It's a comedy series with lots of action, conspiracies, and heart.

I already have an amazing artist for it and we are going to pitch it to Image and if failing that (which i doubt) then possibly kickstarter it and self publish for future issues.

I am looking for a letterer to join the team! This comic has been something I have been developing for over 10 years and I know that the story and characters are going to really blow people away! I predict at the very least to this become a huge cult success as there is no other comic out there that is like it! (well not that I know of anyway).

I need a letter for this that can do both the normal, traditional type lettering but also get very creative! This comic is going to dabble in a variety of styles of art over the course of the issues and at select times I am going to request possibly all sorts of variations. Generally I'd assume that around 70% of it will be more straight up fonts and lettering but then anything might go! Lots of interesting sound effect punctuation and whatnots here!

This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to do some creative experimenting with lettering, as well as doing the more expected type of stuff! Familiarity with the manga style as well is helpful because there will be some panels that go into that realm

This will start off as a one issue thing to see how its goes but I am looking for someone who I can use for the entire series ideally. So if all goes well and you seem like the right fit after issue one then I'd love to have you come back for future issues.

Also let me say this...while I am totally not at all opposed to using any talented letterer for this series despite whatever their personality may be like but...Ideally I'd like to find a real free spirit of a person to do this...so like a former punk rocker, hippie, jokers, mega dorks, anarchist in spirit type of person would be great...basically anyone who has dealt with or struggled with the fact that the pressure to have to mold themselves in a certain way to fit into this society but wouldn't do so if there was an alternative (i'm sure there are plenty of ya'll out there).

Really just anyone who can relate to that though would be extra awesome! This is definitely not a deal breaker here though...but I want this comic to be instilled with a sense of freedom and fun with a bit of "oh well F-U if you dont like it"in its overall energy and the overall thematic issues of this series deal with issues relating around to the idea that "This society isn't very accepting of people who don't conform to the common viewpoints of thought on subjects", so it's definitely got some anti-authoritarianism going on haha and honestly I just think that someone who can relate to that emotionally more will enjoy working on this series more and I want it to be a series that contains as much of the spirit of fun as possible! Its crucial that the two main characters have as much of that free and wild creative energies instilled in what they are saying as possible for the sake of the storytelling.

Really I want someone who really wants to work on such a project! It's kind of a punk rock approach to comic storytelling in ways but also has the "normal/traditional" comic storytelling elements too. It's a mix of two ends of the spectrum...just like the story subject matter deals with. Rules and restriction VS freedom and change type of thing...

So when it comes to pay...we can work something out. I will end up paying you for your work at whatever rate we settle on...BUT, you might need to be flexible with when you get paid at the moment and if it will be in one chunk or payments or whatever...but we can figure something out though that works for the both of us as long as you are able to be flexible. Honestly this is going to be such an awesome series you will be very glad to have your name attached to it I think haha (and just who wouldn't want their name attached to a comic with a superhero guy who often has a bone r going on?!)
