Letterer Looking for Practice.

Post by AlissaRy »

I don't know if this is a weird request or not but I'm looking to get some practice lettering and was wondering if anyone would be wiling to send me a few pages to practice on. I'd obviously do this for free and you would be able to keep the finished pages. If you're willing to help me out than please email me at alissa.ryckman@gmail.com

I've lettered a bit in school. But it was just as a favour for a friend, who wanted to use a comic book for his final in a Canadian history class, because I had a bunch of typefaces on my computer for my Journalism classes. I wish I had saved a copy of those pages but I didn't.

I'm not at the point where this is a career. As I said I really do need more practice. But I'm hoping to get there. I'm not asking people to trust me with their entire project but just a few pages that I could practice on. I'd be really grateful.

Practice Pages

Hi Alyssa,

Please write to me at bdmenard@gmail.com. I am an executive editor at a comic book company and although I see you don't want the responsibility of a full issue yet, we do feature short stories in the monthly anthology we publish. Let's talk. :-)
