An idea that might have some nice possibilities.. You could make a poster sized comic to display on walls. Size and shape could vary. Has anyone out there done such a thing?

Has anyone experimented with poster sized comics?

This might be a nice way to get the "sequential art" back in the "mainstream art world" as it was before! (I'm thinking of Ancient Egypt etc...)
I remember having seen posters by R.Crumb, but I'm not sure... could be by another of the 70's Underground Comic Artists....

Poster size comics
gazorenzoku,
If I'm not mistaken, you made mention of this type of comic a few
weeks ago or so, and at the time, I thought it to be a great idea.
I still do. Though , personally I've never done one, I do agree that
it's benifits to comics would be impressive. I myself would love
to see any sketches or finished work you may have along these
lines..take care and good luck...Tim

...I was talking about scroll comics at that time, I think... Which brought me to wonder about the possibilities of poster comics. I don't think I will be getting around to the scroll comic for a long time, and when I do I won't use the story that I originally wanted to use because I wound up doing that story in book form...
Anyhow, the more I think about it, the more I think that it might be difficult to make a comic of decent length as a poster meant for decorating someone's living space. In order to have the freedom to do a larger story, you would need either a series of posters or a very large poster.... though a short story might be told well as a large poster...
But I think Yingo had a good point in that poster comics might make comics more "cool" in the eyes of the mainstream. Especially if they made use of the same kind of graphic elements that posters devoted to music bands do...
