AFRICAN AMERICAN FEMALE WRITER SOUGHT FOR COMIC BOOK PROJECT

Post by Advent Comics »

I am looking for an African-American female (ideal candidate) or female writer to write an 8 page backup story for a comic book project.

The project is about a superhuman female with some afrocentric & religious overtones. The character has vast superhuman strength, invulnerability and high intellect. She is an extremely powerful woman who is not only strong but smart, beautiful and a tenacious warrior.

Trying to develop a character that's a compilation of every real life, positive, black woman in the world today but with a superhero slant.

Writer should be able to parallel the character's self awareness and resulting power from a woman's point of view. Must bring intuition, strength, femininity, independence, bring goddess & bring no b.s. to the story as well.

If interested, send me a sample of your writing and a brief proposal on what your story would entail (no more than a paragraph).

*MAXIMUM PAY WOULD BE $500.00*

Perhaps you should pay the other artists first. You know, the several other artists that have done months of work for you and haven't been paid yet, before you go around trying to recruit other people.

The audacity you have. In more ways than one, it's angering. :x In others, it's sad. But in the end, when it all comes down on you, it's going to be funny. :P

I have to say I'm puzzled at how you thought you could get away with not paying the artists you hired and not have any kind of negative backlash from it. All of their hard work and not so much as $10.00 to them, yet here you are claiming you're going to pay out $500.00 to someone else. :P You're a really funny guy. I feel sorry for the next guy. I really do. Especially if they are depending on that money you promise them to live on. I hope to God they have a "day job" and working for you would be something they would do for shits and giggles. Well, I'm off. Got to figure out how to pay the rent since you haven't paid out.

Yes, I made an account on facebook and requested him for a friend so I could post on his wall. I posted and he immediately removed it from his page and needless to say I was removed from his friends list. How upsetting. So I'll post here what I posted there in hopes of letting other people know what kind of person he is before it's too late for them. It started with a reply to him about how honored I was he accepted my friend request and he responded in turn how honored he was I wanted to be friends:

" :) Well, don't get too excited yet. I was merely being sarcastic. I hope you realize that you not paying the artists, (let me emphasize the plural of artists) that did the work that you requested from them has not only affected the artists themselves, but their families as well. It is indeed a disgrace that one like yourself can get up in the morning and stand to look at yourself without putting a gun to your own head and pulling the trigger. A pure testament that this world we all share has far more cretins than I cared to imagine. But enough of that. My point to all this is, you have not paid my husband the money he is due. Of course you'll either just delete me from your friends list... (if you beat me to it before I delete you) or you'll say I don't know what I'm talking about, when in fact I do. I know what I'm talking about because we, sir, have the past-f******-due bills to prove it. I don't know about your financial situation, but in ours, bills don't get paid when there isn't any money. Not only that, but we also require food and medications. Some people have health issues, and when no money comes in, we have to do without just the basic needs such as daily medications and FOOD! in order to live healthy lives. On a lighter note, I'm happy you got to go to San Diego for the comic convention and I hope you had a nice time. I have to wonder if perhaps you wouldn't have been able to afford it if you had paid all of the artists and that is the reason you never paid them their due. But that isn't the point to all of this either. I've read your e-mails and I've heard your (lame ass) excuses on the phone when you've talked to my husband on why you haven't paid. (You have a pretty loud mouth and it was sort of hard not to hear them.) The first excuse was your wife had a heart attack and they became all the more stupid as each one was presented. ("You've done art work for me and I have paid you.") If that's the case, our bank and yours will have a record of that, and funny... ours doesn't have a record of anything and I'm willing to sell my soul to the devil himself yours doesn't either. Money order perhaps? Well, they're numbered for a reason and are trackable. So that won't help your case either. Perhaps you're insane and you think you've paid all these people. If that is the case, then maybe you should check in somewhere, but before you do, it would be wise to pay everyone you owe, that way, you'll be assured a nice "rest". Now I have to wonder if you are even married at all. You being a liar and all. Or maybe you haven't paid them because you've been busy putting out fires, you being a fireman and all. Whatever your excuse is, it's a piss poor one and you need to be exposed for what you are. A liar and a thief. 4+ people that I know of for a fact, and I've read elsewhere that there are more. And yes, you are a thief. You have made promises to many people and you have not met your obligations to these people... and your obligation was to pay up what is due to them. They've delivered the goods and you have not. Therefore, you're a thief. And be careful who you accept as your next friend on here or any artists website because I'm following your posts on ZWOL... and might be just another girl.... wanting to be your friend.... and I won't stop until you've rectified this situation. :) <3 "
